IT'S A CONSPIRACY

I can't believe it. They hade me seeing RED! How can Mandisa be voted off? Yes, I watch American Idol, well that was until tonight. I can't get over the fact that one of the best singers got voted off. Yes she made a poor song selection this past week, but damn. It was the first time. Bucky, Kelly, and Ace all have been making bad song choices and singing poorly but they are still there. Yo, the Saltines just don't want another black girl to win. I'm pissed, but I guess you can tell. I thought that not only black folks would vote for Mandisa but all the fat people would as well. I guess she didn't appeal to them she was just a painful reminder that they are fat. All I do know is American Idol has lost a viewer.

So what else comes on TV on Tuesday at 8 pm?

Phoenix you know I love you...I mean you like my play cousin and all that but this is American Fukkin Idol LOL!!! That girl could sing her big behind off but America ain't tryna look at her plastered across the TV screen on a regular basis...especially not a big black woman.

Truss, I don't have anything against big girls (my grandma is a big woman LOL) but let's be real...that chick was anatomically incorrect (the proportions were just all wrong)...PERIOD!! Great voice, horrible body...

BTW: I don't watch the dayum show (those my gym nights plus I can't stand all this reality TV crap and America ain't really my cup of tea at the moment either)

I agree. Nobody is EVER ready for a biggun, but she was certainly one of the best voices this season. I'm even less interested in the show now myself, and I swear fo God if they vote Paris off, I'm boycottin. (Why black people be compelled to protest dumb, worthless stuff, but do NOTHIN about crap that matters to our race?) *sigh*

Anyway, I also think people weren't feelin Mandisa's Jesus talk. I'm a believer in Christ, but American Idol wasn't the place to be singin no MaryMary. Was she serious? Come on, joe. I think last night was a delayed reaction to her gospel song.

@ leslie - perhaps you're correct. However some of those other contestants sing songs that don't have any worthwhile meaning. America needs a good slap in the face with someone with morals. I'm tired of hearing singers sing about bumpin and grindin. I hope I'm not the only one.

Ok time for me to chime in. I liked Deesa, fa real fa real I did but I do think she was too much for the show! America aint ready for a big girl..Ok Ok Ok they loved Ruuuuuuuubbeeennnnn but that's different. A big 'ole man w/ a great voice is nice, a bitch brawd hollaring all cross the stage aint gone cut it.. *my 2 cents*..ok I'm done.

@ durtymo - America claims to be so liberal but we can't even get use to big people esp. big women. I'm so tired of the double standards.

Girl, I feel the same way. I did not get a chance to see the show this week. But, when I heard that Mandisa was voted off, I immediately said that I wouldn't watch it anymore. Why is there always a double standard with everything. Ruben could win (Big black man), however the big balck woman with the best voice on the show was voted off. ??????????????

@ lightweight - I have no idea. You know it's a conspiracy. The Saltines said "we well not be having another Negro will American Idol. That would not be good for the country at this time."

There was an article on msn.com that alleged (and I'm summarizing) that Mandisa was anti-homosexuality. On the bio page of the AI website, she said some famous, anti-gay author (Beth Moore, I believe is her name) was her own personal idol. Hence, she agrees with the author's thoughts/views on homosexuality. They reminded people that right before she sang the MaryMary song, she made a comment about "this goes out to the people bound, living a life you shouldn't live," blah blah blah. There were some who saw that as an attack against gays. And basically, it was the gay population not voting for her in protest that was the reason she got voted off.

I can see this as being possible. I have to applaud gay activists and homosexuals - when they feel they have been offended or discriminated against, them jokers will rally and protest and cause a ruckus until they GET RESULTS. Black people need to follow their lead.
